Privacy Policy

QuietGuard is built to support calm, safety and clearer phone control while keeping user information on the device wherever possible.

Effective date: 23 April 2026
Important note

QuietGuard is designed to keep sensitive handling simple and local-first

QuietGuard is designed to operate primarily on your device. Where the app accesses sensitive information such as call log data, it does so only to provide core app functionality, maintain user control and support safer calling.

Overview

Here is the short version first. QuietGuard is designed to use only the information needed for safer calling, clearer control and local-first phone protection.

We ask for permissions only when needed

QuietGuard asks for sensitive access only where it is required for core app functionality such as screened call history, trusted-caller controls and safer call management.

Call log access stays on your device

When QuietGuard reads call log information for its Spam Activity Log and trusted-number management features, that data is accessed and processed locally on your device. It is not transmitted to external servers as part of normal app operation.

We do not sell or share call log data

QuietGuard does not sell personal data and does not share your call log data, contact names or trusted-contact information with third parties through Controlled Systems Group backend services as part of its normal operation.

You stay in control of deletion

You can remove local QuietGuard data by clearing app storage, uninstalling the app or deleting certain activity entries inside the app where that option is available.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how QuietGuard handles information when you use the QuietGuard application and any related services provided in connection with it.

QuietGuard is published by Controlled Systems Group.

Section

What we collect and access

QuietGuard is designed to operate primarily on your device and does not require an account or cloud profile for its main functionality. Depending on the features you use, the app may access, process or store the following information locally on your device:

  • Trusted phone numbers or contacts selected by the user.
  • Call activity information needed for call screening, silencing, spam prevention and related safety features.
  • Call log data where required to display screened, blocked or identified call activity inside the app.
  • Contact names and recent number history where needed to help the user recognise callers and manage trusted contacts.
  • Local settings and preferences, including selected protections, mode settings and related control choices.
Section

Sensitive Permissions & Data Usage

QuietGuard requires the READ_CALL_LOG permission to provide its core Spam Activity Log feature. This allows the app to display a history of callers that have been automatically screened or blocked by the app engine.

This data is accessed locally on your device so that you can verify blocked calls, review recent screened activity and manage your Verified Circle or other trusted contact controls by identifying legitimate numbers from recent history.

QuietGuard does not transmit, sell, or share your call log data with any third parties or external servers. Access to this data is limited to the app functionality described in this policy.

Section

How we use information

The information processed by QuietGuard, including call logs and contact names, is used strictly for app functionality, including call screening, and for security, including spam prevention. This includes:

  • Managing which calls are allowed to ring or stay quiet.
  • Applying trusted-caller, whitelist and screening preferences.
  • Showing recent screened, blocked or relevant call activity inside the app.
  • Helping users identify legitimate numbers and manage trusted contacts more accurately.
  • Supporting the safety, focus and control features the user chooses to enable.

All processing occurs locally on the user's device. This data is not synchronized with Controlled Systems Group backend systems or any Firebase services unless the user explicitly initiates a feature, such as backup, that requires such transfer.

Section

Sharing

QuietGuard does not sell personal data and does not share personal data, including call log information, contact names or trusted-contact data, with third parties through Controlled Systems Group backend services as part of its normal operation.

If the app is distributed through Google Play or uses Google Play services such as billing, platform security or app delivery, Google may process certain information under its own policies for distribution, billing, analytics, fraud prevention, platform integrity or related operations.

Section

Storage and retention

Because QuietGuard is designed to operate locally on your device wherever possible, app settings, call-related activity records, trusted contacts and similar data remain on your device unless you remove them or explicitly use a feature that transfers data.

QuietGuard does not retain this locally stored information on Controlled Systems Group servers as part of its normal core calling functionality. Local data remains available only for as long as it is kept on the device by the user.

Section

Data deletion

You have full control over your data. All locally stored call logs, screened activity records and whitelisted or trusted contacts can be deleted at any time by:

  • Clearing the app cache or app data in Android system settings.
  • Uninstalling the app from your device.
  • Deleting individual entries within the Activity tab of the QuietGuard app, where that option is available.
Section

Security

QuietGuard is designed to minimise unnecessary data exposure by keeping information on the device wherever possible and limiting access to information to what is reasonably needed for the app's safety, screening and control features.

Section

Your rights and choices

Depending on your location and how you use the app, you may have choices such as:

  • Controlling app permissions through your Android device settings.
  • Deleting locally stored app data by clearing storage or uninstalling the app.
  • Choosing whether to enable optional features that require additional access on the device.
  • Reviewing and removing certain locally stored activity entries within the app where available.
Section

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the app, legal requirements, platform requirements or updates to the way QuietGuard handles permissions and user data.
